Supplier Collaboration

Stay connected 24/7 to your global supply chain. Autodesk® Fusion Lifecycle offers anytime, anywhere access to the information your extended organization needs for quoting, procurement, and supplier management.

  • Management of supplier information

Comprehensive information about suppliers is managed in a single, secure environment, including built-in apps for approved manufacturers lists (AML) and approved vendor lists (AVL). So stakeholders throughout your company can quickly and easily find the information they need to approve suppliers and vendors, manage supplier audits and supplier corrective actions. Information on what products each supplier currently provides is also available, giving further insight into them, and their strategic importance, across the organization.

  • Time-based supplier review process workflows

The review process can be managed for every supplier, enabling Procurement, Quality and other interested parties to formally and accurately track the real-time status of each one. The process is time-based, notifying relevant stakeholders when a review is soon due for each supplier, ensuring there are no interruptions in procurement from them. The review status is widely visible, giving a good understanding of whether that supplier is active, and can be used at that point in time.

  • Secure supplier participation in the procurement process

The cloud-based, but secure, nature of Fusion Lifecycle means that it is easy to allow third parties to access the PLM environment in a controlled manner. Suppliers can, therefore, collaborate in the RFQ process, ensuring they fully understand what they are being asked to quote for, and ensuring Procurement fully understanding that quotation, reducing downstream errors caused by miscommunication. A complete set of information, such as drawings and 3D visualization models, can be accessed by suppliers, further increasing their understanding of what is being asked of them. This all leads to shorter lead times, and higher accuracy of supplied items.

  • Embedded component and assembly procurement information

Component parts and assemblies can contain embedded information arising from the RFQ process, such as who supplies them and their current cost. This automatically provides accurate, real-time Bill of Materials cost roll-up, and offers improved understanding of supplied items throughout the organization. All stakeholders can see, for a specific part or assembly, supplier details and other related information, such as the supplier part number, reducing time wasted looking in disparate systems or databases for that data.
